Liverpool remain interested in signing Leroy Sane despite his club Schalke saying he won’t be allowed to leave during the January transfer window.
Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp wants to bring the highly-rated attacking midfielder to Anfield but faces stiff competition from a number of top European clubs.
Third-party representives have allegedly made contact with the player’s agent and initial feedback suggests that Sane is keen on the idea of teaming-up with Klopp at Anfield but for that to happen, Schalke would have to accept a formal offer from Liverpool and as yet, one hasn’t been tabled and Schalke claim they wouldn’t entertain one until the summer window anyway.
The German media claim that Schalke are looking for big money with them looking for a fee of around £32million for Sane who is under contract until 2019.
Manchester City have also been heavily linked which could of course provide a huge problem to Liverpool.
