Liverpool FC scouts are closely monitoring Fulham’s 16-year-old left-back Ryan Sessegnon.
It is claimed that a number of Premier League outfits including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and ourselves are all impressed with his performances for the Championship outfit after becoming alerted to him when he broke through into their first team back in August.
Our interest is genuine but there is nothing to suggest, at this time, that we will make an official approach. However, sources close to Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp say he is already a big fan of the attack-minded defender who has scored 6 goals in 23 for Fulham in his debut season and there’s a suggestion that he could make a move for him in the summer.
Liverpool’s current left-back options aren’t very inspiring at the moment. Midfielder James Milner is ‘doing a job’ there at the moment but he’s not a long-term answer while Spanish defender Alberto Moreno should be moved out in the summer after falling down the pecking order.
