Liverpool are closing on a deal that will see former West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian make the switch to Anfield.
Simon Mignolet has undergone a medical with Club Brugge and is expected to make his debut tomorrow in a Champions League qualifier against Dinamo Kiev ahead of a £6.4million transfer, a fee that can rise to £8.2million due to bonuses.
The 32-year-old Adrian has been without a club since the end of last season after the Hammers released him. Next season he will provide back up to Liverpool’s first choice ‘keeper Alisson.
Liverpool’s Sporting Director Michael Edwards is said to have been in South London this weekend on transfer related business but it is not known if this was in relation to the signing of Adrian which is expected to go through imminently.
