Liverpool are hoping to conclude a transfer for Porto centre-back Diogo Leite in the summer.
The 19-year-old has been watched by Liverpool scouts this season after manager Jürgen Klopp was advised to take a look at him by one of his contacts in Portugal.
It is claimed that Leite has a €15million (£13.125million) release clause in his current contract which could be exploited by Arsenal or Manchester City who are also said to be tracking him.

Well-placed sources have confirmed our interest in Leite who plays for the Portuguese side’s B team but it doesn’t sound as if we have tabled an offer as yet.
Liverpool scouts checked him out again at The Emirates on Tuesday when he turned out for Porto’s Under 23s against Arsenal. Porto won the match 1-0 to secure the Premier League International Cup.
Porto will resist all attempts to sell him but will have no option but to if his release clause is triggered. You would expect them to try and tie him down to a new deal as quickly as possible.
One to listen out for over the coming months.
