Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp urged to bid for goalkeeper

Jordan Pickford

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has been urged to consider making a move for Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (23).

Uncertainty remains over the future of first choice Reds’ ‘keeper Simon Mignolet while it would appear too soon for Klopp to turn his back on Loris Karius following his less than impressive start to his Anfield career.

Danny Ward has impressed while on loan at Huddersfield but while he is rated by some, question marks hang over him too.

Klopp insists that he’s happy with the trio and won’t be looking to change his goalkeeping options in the summer which would appear to suggest that he needs the funds for other areas of the team.

A source revealed on our members’ website last week that while during a recruitment meeting at Melwood, that scouts had singled out Jordan Pickford and his possible availability if Sunderland are relegated.
