Liverpool bank millions following Mamadou Sakho exit

Mamadou Sakho

Liverpool Football Club has banked a £2million loan fee as a result of Mamadou Sakho joining Crystal Palace on loan.

The 26-year-old made the switch to Selhurst Park on transfer deadline day but only on a loan agreement after Liverpool failed to negotiate a permanent deal for him.

As well as receiving £2million from Palace, Liverpool will save £105,000-a-week in wages and get the club’s highest-paid defender off their books with Palace paying 100% of his salary while he’s with them.

Liverpool failed to bring in any new additions during the January transfer window so all eyes will once again be on the summer window.
