Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked with a possible January move to Anfield.
It is claimed that the 23-year-old winger is under consideration by Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp and that he may make a cheeky bid when the transfer window opens.
In the summer it was suggested that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would invite offers for the player but since then he has publicly stated the opposite and claimed he wants him to extend his stay.
The England international only has 18 months remaining on his current contract hence the uncertainty surrounding his immediate future.
KOPTALK sources believe Klopp is an admirer of the player but have added that there is no suggestion of us making a bid for him at this present time, despite the claims.
Arsenal would obviously resist any approach from a rival and it would make more sense for us to monitor the player’s contract situation and see if he continues to run it down.
However, if he was to become available and if Arsenal were willing to do business, then we would definitely expect the Reds to step up with an offer.
It’s worth noting that we were linked with him twice back in March 2016.
