Liverpool and Glasgow Rangers are locked in negotiations with regards a possible deal that would see Ryan Kent make the switch North of the Border.
Well-placed sources claim that a deal is “close” and that the fee will be in the region of £6.5million if things are signed off today.
The 22-year-old winger is on standby to undergo a medical. Although the player hasn’t yet been given permission to discuss personal terms, it is highly likely that these will have already been discussed prior to Rangers making a formal approach.
We’re not surprised that Rangers made a late move after previously failing to land the 22-year-old on another loan, with the Reds preferring to hold out for a permanent transfer. He made 43 appearances and scored 6 goals for Rangers last season and was one of their best players.
Belgian outfit Club Brugge have also held talks about a possible deadline day deal.
