Liverpool and Everton handed boost in chase for Ajax playmaker

Hakim Ziyech

Liverpool and Everton have reportedly been handed a boost with the news that Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech has an agreement to leave the club in the summer.

It is claimed that both Merseyside clubs are interested in signing the 25-year-old who scored 9 and supplied 15 assists in the Eredivisie this season.

Described as one of Europe’s hottest properties, Ziyech has been linked with Liverpool before which suggests Anfield scouts have checked him out previously.

Capped 15 times by Morocco, Liverpool fans will be able to see Ziyech in action at this year’s World Cup after he made the squad.

Known for his technique and free kick ability, Ziyech is under contract until 2021.

If reports are to be believed, Ajax have told the player that they won’t stand in his way if a top European club come in for him during the summer transfer window.
