Jürgen Klopp has rubbished suggestions that he would be willing to entertain offers for Fabinho.
A number of reports have appeared recently claiming that the 25-year-old Brazilian is unsettled at Anfield after failing to adapt following his summer transfer from Monaco. Admittedly, the Liverpool midfielder has taken time to figure but suggestions that he could be sold have been quickly dismissed by the manager.
Speaking at today’s pre-match press conference, Klopp said: “He has played three of the last four for us, no?
“He did well so it’s all good. Now it’s coming to the most intense period of the year, of the whole season, it’s unbelievable how many games we have.
“He has used the time to adjust to what we want him to do. The last games he played, pretty much all good.
“Of course he will not leave. I don’t talk about transfers but nobody leaves here, it would be completely crazy.
“He doesn’t want to, it’s only just the crazy world out there that if they don’t play the last five games they open a transfer market. We are not involved in that.”
There have been suggestions that Italian giants Juventus could make an approach for Fabinho during the January transfer window but if you believe the boss, they’d clearly be wasting their time.
