Former Liverpool defender José Enrique is to retire
his selfie stick from football at the age of 31 due to a knee injury.
The Spaniard has been without a club for 4 months having spent last season with Real Zaragoza and has now decided to call it a day.

“After every game my knee swelled like a ball and I was barely able to walk for three days. Something that was supposed to be for three months ended up turning into two years.
“I saw five doctors in England but they did not get the problem.
“It hurts me, but so many times they told me that it was a psychological problem that I came to believe it.”
Commenting on his final days at Liverpool, Enrique added: “The worst moments of my life were under Klopp because, being well, I knew I could play some games, but he was sincere with me.
“Klopp let me be captain of Liverpool in my farewell, an honor for which I will always be grateful.”
