Liverpool owner John Henry has been speaking about the progress that Jürgen Klopp is making at Anfield.
The Reds’ boss led his side to the Champions League final this season and are currently sitting top of Group C and are top of the Premier League table with rivals Manchester City playing their game in hand at Tottenham this evening.
Speaking after the Boston Red Sox side won the World Series last night, Henry told U.S. sports reporters: “Kiev was painful. But getting there, you could say we’re a little ahead of schedule.
“I think Jurgen has solved our defensive issues and we are really strong at the back and really strong in midfield and everyone knows how good we are up front.
“That, as well, is a very special team and it could be a special season.”
