Joe Gomez has emerged as a possible January transfer target for Huddersfield Town.
The 19-year-old Liverpool defender returned to full training last week following a nightmare injury spell. He was hit with an anterior cruciate ligament injury just days after Jürgen Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers at Anfield and in pre-season he sustained an Achilles problem.
Klopp may be willing to agree to a loan deal with Town boss David Wagner, who is a close friend of the Liverpool manager, if it benefits the player’s return to full fitness.
We are led to believe that Gomez remains in the manager’s plans so it will be interesting to see what develops over the coming months.
Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward is also on loan at Town.
