Javier Mascherano has been linked with a possible return to Liverpool next year.
Reports suggest that the 33-year-old will be allowed to leave Barcelona on a free transfer in the summer after seeing his game time reduced this season.

PSG, Juventus and Liverpool are all said to have tabled offers for the player who turns 34 in June.
Recent reports suggest that he is open to the idea of a return to the Premier League, the MLS or his homeland Argentina.
In today’s reports, Mascherano is quoted as saying: “I do not know what’s going to happen [in the future]. I’m always analyzing my situation.
“Today I have no plans to return to Argentina, but I have not had any proposals either.
“I do not rule out anything. I do not want to be a prisoner of my words, I will seek my happiness.”
There are claims that Lionel Messi had been quoted as saying that Mascherano could be Anfield bound; those suggestions are untrue. A Spanish report merely stated that Messi would be sad to see his close friend leave Barcelona and Liverpool were one of the clubs mooted as having an interest by the publication and not actually by Messi himself.
