James Tarkowski

Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski is attracting interest from Liverpool.

The 25-year-old defender is said to be on a short-list of centre-backs that Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp is considering making a move for over the summer as he looks to strengthen his defensive options.

Tarkowski, who has been named on England’s standby list for the World Cup which includes Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana, had a great season with Burnley after his manager Sean Dyche placed his faith in him following the departure of Michael Keane to Everton.

Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with Tarkowski who was nominated for the Premier League player of the season award which was won by Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool have also been linked with Newcastle United centre-back Jamaal Lascelles.
