Sadio Mané has headed off to the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal and following his impressive contribution to Jürgen Klopp’s side since coming in from Southampton, Liverpool supporters want to know when they can expect to see him back at Anfield.
The Liverpool winger will definitely miss the FA Cup tie against Plymouth (h), the 1st leg of the League Cup semi-final against Southampton (a) and Premier League fixtures against Manchester United (a) and Swansea (h).
Senegal are second favourites to win the competition behind Ivory Coast so if they progress further than Group B, their quarter-final match would on 28th. Liverpool play Chelsea (h) in the Premier League 48 hours later.
The semi-finals take place over 1st and 2nd February. Liverpool play Hull (a) in the Premier League on the 4th.
If Senegal were to make it to the final, that’s played on 5th Feb with the 3rd/4th place play-off the previous day when Liverpool are at Hull.
Obviously, it all depends on Senegal’s progress but if they were to go the full course and Mané doesn’t get injured, he could be back to face Tottenham (h) on the 11th February.
