Galatasaray claim that they are no longer interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Lucas.
The Turkish outfit demanded that the Reds make a decision by Monday in relation to their offer for the 29-year-old, an ultimatum that was ignored by Kop boss Jürgen Klopp.
Galatasaray sporting director Levent Nazifoglu was quoted earlier this week as saying: “We have asked for a response regarding Lucas Leiva by tonight. If we don’t receive one, we’ll pursue alternative players.”
Klopp has blocked Lucas from leaving the club due to the amount of defensive players that are currently carrying injuries. However, the popular Brazilian could still leave the club before the window closes.
