FSG to review ticket prices following walk-out

Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have held talks with senior Anfield officials following the 77th minute walk-out protest.

An estimated 10,000 fans walked out during Saturday’s game against Sunderland and that development has forced the owners to consider a review.

Emergency talks took place over the weekend and are expected to continue throughout the week with the owners wanting to settle the unrest amongst fans.

However, FSG sources have made it known that they are baffled at claims that they are “greedy” having never taken a penny out of the club and having invested heavily in the new main stand.

Following the walk-out a number of supporters have now started targeting club sponsors with their complaints. KopTalk editor Duncan Oldham suggested last week that this course of action would force FSG to listen because associated brands would not want the embarrassment and they would certainly want to distance themselves from the club if this was the case. This action wasn’t encouraged, it was just an example of how to make people sit up and take note.
