MEMBERS: Jürgen Klopp gives go-ahead for transfer bid

The January transfer window will soon slam shut and so far it’s been rather disappointing for Liverpool supporters.

Liverpool have lost Brazil forward Alexandre Pato to Chelsea despite working on a deal to try and bring him for months while his fellow countryman Alex Teixeira will remain at Shakhtar Donetsk unless a deal can finally be brokered over the weekend.

At the time of writing, KOPTALK sources claim Liverpool have still not given up on Teixeira but not many supporters will expect that to come off. We believe negotiations are ongoing but we have no idea if anyone will win this latest game of bluff. We wouldn’t put money on a transfer proceeding but never say never in football.

Marko Grujic has been signed from Red Star Belgrade but the fact that he’s been loaned back to them until the end of the season means Liverpool supporters won’t get to see him for a while.

The loan signing of Steven Caulker from Southampton via Champions side Queens Park Rangers hasn’t excited many and rightfully so but there’s still time for the Reds to do business if you’re an optimistic type. If you’re a pessimist then you will no doubt be sharping the knives ready to lash out at club owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG).

Already the media are speculating about the summer transfer window, which, as much as we will look forward to it, we can’t start to get our heads around another window while another one remains open.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has an extensive list of transfer targets ranging from a handful of youngsters right up to a couple of Europe’s finest. Within the last 24 hours the boss has given the go ahead for a move for a very highly-rated starlet who is wanted by a host of Premier League clubs. An exclusive report regarding that has been posted on our members’ news page this morning.  Details of a leaked club memo relating to transfer deadline-day is also available to members.
