Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has handed Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp a huge boost by returning to training well ahead of schedule.
It was feared that the 22-year-old midfielder would miss the rest of the season after damaging his ankle ligaments in the 4-3 victory over Dortmund in the Europa League last month but he’s back out at Melwood much earlier than anticipated.
Can has trained with the players who were not involved against Swansea City on Sunday and could now come into contention for Thursday’s game against Villarreal.
He will of course be assessed over the next couple of days to see if he can be included in the match squad for that Europa League tie.
