Daniel Sturridge has been linked with a possible January transfer switch to Serie A giants AC Milan.
The 28-year-old striker is said to be unsettled and looking for a move in the hope of making the England squad for next summer’s World Cup.
Milan have made advances before for Sturridge so their fresh interest doesn’t come as a surprise but as yet there has been no formal approach for his services. At this time, the reports linking him with Milan are quite speculative.
However, even if the Italians did swoop, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has made it publicly known that Sturridge won’t be allowed to leave mid-season.
Speaking earlier this week, Klopp said: “The situation with the player is completely okay. I can imagine a player with his quality is not happy that he is not starting all the time. I really can imagine that. But that’s all.
“At this moment we need all our players. We have November, even if he feels a little different.
“There is around one-and-a-half months to go before the window opens and I don’t think for a second about things like this.
“There are so many games before then and I need all of them.”
