Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Christopher Nkunku has issued a warning to PSG – ‘Play me, or I’m off!’.
The 20-year-old has been linked with Liverpool and Anfield scouts have cast their eyes over him on a number of occasions. The news that he’s growing unsettled could alert Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp.
Handed only a handful of Ligue 1 starts this season, Nkunku has endured a frustrating season and a loan move has been mooted. However, there has also been suggestions that PSG could be willing to let him move for a fee of around £20million.
Commenting on his situation, Nkunku said: “I’d liked for things to have gone better, for me to play more. When I had playing time, I tried to make the most of it.
“We’ll see what happens after the holidays, at the beginning of July.
“What’s clear in my head, is that I’m not ready to face a season in which I don’t play, or do so very little.
“If the coach wants to use me more in the rotation, I’ll have to think about it. I need to establish myself in a particular role and work on it so I improve.”
Nkunku has been used on the left wing but he prefers a more central position. He has 2 years remaining on his contract.
