Chelsea have been linked with a possible move for former Liverpool goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi.
The 27-year-old Hungary international is attracting interest for his performances at German outfit RB Leipzig.
It is claimed that Chelsea along with Atlético Madrid have made enquiries about Gulácsi’s availability ahead of the summer transfer window. Both of those clubs may be in the market for new ‘keepers in the summer. Thibaut Courtois is yet to sign a new deal with Chelsea and has been linked with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain while Jan Oblak continues to be linked with an exit from Atlético with Arsenal, PSG and Liverpool mooted as possible suitors.
Gulácsi was on Liverpool’s books between 2007 and 2013 having come in from MTK Budapest. Despite making the substitute’s bench 27 times for the Reds he never turned out for the first team. He left Anfield in 2013 after a number of loan deployments with Hereford United and Tranmere Rovers.
He is under contract with RB Leipzig until 2022.
