Bayern Munich look set to appoint Jupp Heynckes as their new manager, news which will be welcomed by Liverpool fans after Jürgen Klopp was mooted as a possible candidate to replace Carlo Ancelotti who was axed by the Germans last week.

The 72-year-old has been tipped to return for a fourth spell in charge of the Bundesliga champions after reportedly agreeing a contract until the end of the season.
Klopp along with Thomas Tuchel and Julian Nagelsmann had also been linked with the vacant managerial position but it sounds like Heynckes will be in place until the summer at least.
We never though that the Ancelotti sacking was an immediate concern for us but we wouldn’t put money on Klopp being at Liverpool for the long haul unless Fenway Sports Group (FSG) show some real ambition. If not, it won’t be long before other clubs do come knocking.
Admittedly Klopp needs to step up his own game first but we honestly don’t see a bright future ahead under FSG with the club still having failed to progress on the pitch under them.
