Virgil van Dijk believes Andy Robertson has what it takes to be lead the Reds.
The Dutch international says he has no doubts that his Anfield team-mate is capable of becoming a future Liverpool skipper because of his leadership skills.
Robertson (24) was appointed captain of Scotland in September and according to Van Dijk, he’d make a great club captain too.
Van Dijk said: “If he keeps improving he will [captain Liverpool].
“He’s already a leader. You don’t need an armband to be a leader for this team.
“He’s doing very well, he’s made incredible steps in his career and he just needs to keep doing what he’s doing.”
Robertson has proved an immense buy for Liverpool. He was signed in 2017 from Hull City for an incredible £8million and many supporters would say his present value is ten times that amount if not more.
