Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may not play for Liverpool again until November.
Although the Liverpool midfielder’s knee surgery earlier this month was deemed a success, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp doesn’t expect him to be available for selection again until much later in the year.
Initially it was hoped that Oxlade-Chamberlain would be fit for the start of the new campaign but following his particular type of surgery, a six month lay-off is now expected.

The 24-year-old sustained the injury during Liverpool’s Champions League tie against Roma on 24th April.
Speaking last month, Klopp said: “I’ve told him already that we will wait for him like a good wife when a man is in prison.”
With Oxlade-Chamberlain missing and Emre Can expected to leave, the Liverpool manager has been tipped to target another midfielder despite the imminent arrival of Naby Keïta.
