If fit where does he play?

In the midfield protecting the back 4 or in yet another new CB partnership with Kabak?

Chelsea don't score many under Tuchel but don't concede many at all. Ten goals scored in nine games. Three pens and two of the others scored by defenders. They are not prolific.

Our midfield has been deprived of Fabinho for well over half of the season between injuries and playing at CB. Kabak and Phillips kept a clean sheet with Adrian in goal. Yes it was only Sheffield Utd but we have to start somewhere if we are going to get into the top 4.

I hope he plays midfield to give us a bit of steel in the middle.

If fit, would play Fab at CB with Kabak, we need speed and movement against Chelsea attack, the likes of Pulisic/Werner etc

I like Phillips, one of them 100% who chuck their body at everything, but you could see his limitations last night when he got turned and outpaced easily by the Sheff Utd forward, who wasn't the fastest or most mobile, so he's great against teams with grocks up front, heading and blocking all day, but against fast clever movement, like Chelsea etc I can see why Klopp would not want to play him.

Kabak wasn't better then Phillips as they got the ball behind him a few times. Am sure Fab will play cb and probably with Kabak. I would leave Thiago out.

No fking idea as we tried to patch up by buying unproven CBs, I don't think Klopp knows what to do neither

We do look better with 2 specialised CB's playing at CB, I would be tempted to leave Kabak & Phillips at CB with Fab infront of them offering some decent protection, then we can let the FB's TAA & Robertson push on with the 2 MF (Jones & Wij) pressing on and supporting the front 3, looks allot more balanced team to me:

I'd go.....

--------- Adrian (Allisson if back?)

TAA Kabak Phillips Robertson

Jones Fab Wij

Salah Bobby Mane

Bring Jota on if fit to play last 30 mins when Chelsea defence is tired.
