If you care to look at the history books Germany voted in moderate leaders until the USA stock market crash and Germanys debt crippled them. People were desperate and felt the political parties no longer represented them. And the rest is history

A dangerous lesson and don't bet on it not being repeated especially in America at the moment, we also saw similar in the UK when the liberal elite tried to overturn public democracy on brexit had they succeeded that would not have ended well either.

Democracy only holds when the public respects it and feels they are represented.

So you agree with me, democracy doesn't always mean good leaders, and yes Trump surfed on populism, as Hitler

Trump did surf on populism which is a word used by the liberal left in a negative sense. In fact, populism is the will of the people, hence the word.

For a long time now in western societies ordinary people have been excluded in favour of narrow metropolitan liberal mindsets.

When ordinary people are excluded dangerous situations occur as with Germany in the 1930's. I consider America very dangerous at the moment and if Biden ignores middle America (which I suspect he will) that wont end well.

Also its likely to be Harris calling the shots even become unelected president Biden is 78 and in poor health.

How can she be unelected as she was on the ballot paper? Without the votes of ordinary people Biden/Harris wouldn't have won, so it's not like all ordinary people voted for Trump, we all know the views of the Trump lovers and lots of them are elitist

The root cause of this is modern capitalism where the more vulnerable have been the most impacted, and those who took the easy road to blame migrants got votes from what you call ordinary people. Yes migration took their jobs but it is the capitalism who wanted cheaper labour either locally or poorer countries abroad, same with zero hrs contracts in the UK. But then, for some reason in the US, they blame socialism, never understood that part.

But it's capitalists who asked for globalisation, in fact it was the US as they thought globalisation would bring capitalism and market economy to the east. The biggest winners of globalisation have been the wealthiest people in the west who just made more profits.

So? If you followed Italian politics you would have noticed that it's very common there as their PR electoral system is extreme and they never have stable governments
