When neither won the domestic league (our bread and butter) for us?

I would say no.

In modern times Liverpool legends include our title winning squad & European cup winning squad (any players who were in both) of a year before.

By your logic, all the players from the good part of the last 30 years shouldn’t be considered as well.
And that includes the likes of Fowler, some of the treple and Istanbul CL winners. Duh....

What a load of ball hang....Carra and Stevie G were unfortunate that we had Owners not willing to buy the PL or a Manager able to be backed.

absolutely ridiculous question. Gerrard is in the argument for best ever Liverpool Player in terms of natural talent and ability. He carried us on his back for some of the absolute worst times in the clubs history. He's a local lad born and raised scouser, who captained us for all of his career and lifted the CL in one of the most miraculous games ever played. He won every trophy there is to win with our club barring the league and was far and away our best player for the majority of those years. There is no question he is a legend. This agenda you have against him needs to stop. It's beyond farcical now.

They are legends for their longevity, trophies are important but they are not the only measuring stick. Gerrard is the greatest liverpool player I've seen and was there for 17 seasons. A lot of [oops] players have gotten a league medal should we consider those players legends? Chris smalling has won 2 league medals who as an average mid table player at best. Great players have never won trophies, messi no world cup, Ibrahimovic no cl they are still considered as one of the greats. Gerrard is the greatest player to never win the league which largely isnt his fault as he was carrying a poor liverpool team most of his career.

Caragher has the most appearances in club history, which speaks for itself, no player makes that amount of appearances without merit.
