It is pointless to compare shaqiri and lallana as their style is so much different.

When bringing in Lallana, I would say klopp would like to gain some control on the pitch. In addition, Lallana is very hardworking and is very familiar with Klopp's pressing system.

For Shaqiri, he is more creative. However, it is very clear that Shaqiri is not good defensively and he is not a good presser at all.

Therefore, I think if Klopp want someone to create and score more goals, Shaqiri will be the one to sub in. If we are in the lead, he probably wont feature Shaqiri too often.

Shaqiri does press, he is like a little terrier who snaps away at opponents heels and he also has an end product, along with his set piece capabilities. Lallana is tripe, watching the game last night I seen a player way past his best who has become comfortable warming the bench and collecting his pay cheque.

I don't mind him being p*ssed off a little, he's a top player in the peak of his career, but he's at Liverpool now and nowhere near the front 3's level.

He'll get games later in the season. As of now, 7/7 and no reason to change things.

Klopp seems to prefer 2 (lets say...) 'average' but consistent midfielders with a holding player. It's starting to make sense. We're now grinding out wins whereas creative players can destroy teams one week, then be completely anonymous the next. It's reliant on the top 3 of course but they are the best top 3 in world football..

HUGE win today.
