Have you read these two articles today?

http://www.koptalk.com/liverpool-fc-news/nabil-fekir-finally-opens-up-on-failed-liverpool-move/

http://www.koptalk.com/liverpool-fc-news/agent-hits-out-at-nabil-fekir-over-failed-liverpool-move/

Interesting stuff. It certainly gives another angle on why we may have pulled out of that transfer last year, don't you think?

hmm...he publicly announced ditching his Agent well before the summer transfer window opened and the transfer fee drastically reducing was no big secret. Something tells me that a questionable Agent maybe telling the truth for once? FSG are no slouches when it comes to a bargain sale so them not even trying to recruit Fekir this summer tells us all we need to know.

I think once Shaq became available on the market for less than 15m, Edwards moved out of the deal and there was no point of going back this summer as Shaq was still here. In any case I don't think his position was a priority, if anything the priority was Mane's and maybe Firmino's positions + left back cover, but we had bills to pay.

Also interesting no other big clubs made a move for him at a bargain price, was very strange he ended up at Real Betis, so there must be something putting off the big clubs, not just us.

Wasn’t it all just FSG penny pinching?

Might end up a good bargain for Real Betis if he continues as he started with 2 goals in 3 games.
