Cardinal Pell (forgive any miss spelling), has been convicted in Aussie court in Dec 2018... He was ranked no 3 in the Catholic Church... He is believed to be a former Vatican Bank guru.
His name and conviction were held back from the papers in Aussie, as he is helping with further enquiries.. He was convicted of Kiddie fiddling...
There is a Bishop in USA who also claiming 100+ clergy have been moved state to state or to another country to avoid Kiddie fiddling prosecution/allegations...

Well the Pope has not yet left office.... Yet the original claim stated before Easter - so it may still happen...
Before you kick off regarding 21st March stuff - I only heard this from one avenue... Interestingly tho, the Pope had meetings in what looked like an area within the Vatican - the Pope met ppl, there were film cameras and may have gone mainstream media..
When he was greeting the ppl who were lined up to be greeted by the Pope, one by one the Pope refused everyone from kissing the Papal ring, the Pope pulled his right hand away from ALL of them whom bent to kiss the Papal ring... This may be an indicator that the Pope doesn't actually have Papal powers - hence denying the normal process of being greeted by the normal Papal process...
Soz for the delay in reply..

Here is what the Catholic Herald had to say on the Pontif greeting:-
The tradition of baciamano, or “hand-kissing”, is thought to date from the Middle Ages. It involves honouring the papal office, and thereby expressing fidelity to the Church, with a kiss upon the “Ring of the Fisherman”.
So the greeting IS significant.....
Another info site:-
The Ring of the Fisherman is a symbol and mark of the office. By kissing it, you show both respect and sincere affection for the man who holds that office.

Hygiene. You should stop while you're only a bit behind, it's kind of silly now.
