Right Halfords have slashed the price of the Voodoo Bokor giving me a headache as i was lining up the Bizango.. What i need is an expert to look at both and give me there opinion. Cheers Wilki.

They look pretty close spec wise. The Bokor looks like it might be made for the tougher stuff as it has a dropper post compatible frame. The SRAM NX gearing is good and I think the brakes might be a bit better on the Bokor (not tried them but the Shimano brakes on the Bizango are pretty basic).

Both damn good bikes for the money!

I'm leaning toward the Bokor myself after reading up a bit,not many reviews out there being as new as what it is.. Just gonna go for it.

Nah all flat here. The closest good place is Aston Hill but thatís all downhill stuff. Cannock Chase is good as is High Lodge in Thetford forest but thatís a bit flat too.

I like Cannock. A bit too technical on some of the up hill stuff but is good fun coming down. Thetford has some good single track but is flat apart from the odd bomb hole. Shame that the weather is going off now as I didnít get out anywhere near as much as Iíd liked.

We used to go to the lakes mainly rides out of Ambleside it's about 60 minutes drive but not been for a few years now. Used to have fry up breakfast in Ambleside but of a shop in the bike / outdoor shops and up the mountain about 11am with my full Sus. I also have a hardtail (also Scott) which I use on local trails mostly canal towpaths and local woods main use getting fit. However my main hobby now is arguing with strangers since I bought an iPad. That's progress

This is my all time favourite the Skiddaw descent (north lakes) a two hour push up and then 30 minutes of pure joy down. Other than a bit of technical stuff at the very top its its straightforward singletrack and you dont need a fancy bike either.

A very fast but easy singletrack and your adrenaline is high and you have your eye in plus it's way easier than what was before hence you feel like a world champion as you glide into Keswick for coffee and cake and can look up at the mountain and say I came down that in 30 minutes non stop.

Canít beat a few coloured components. On one of my bikes, a black anodised frame, I got as much as I could in red, things like hubs and seat collar. Thereís some nice colours out there.

Stupid bloody Halfords...Originally believing my bike would turn up on Tuesday i had mistakenly read the delivery date and after inquiring where the fukkk my wheels were was told it was coming next Tuesday, got home today and found a delivery card from Parcel Force saying they couldn't fit the bike through the letterbox so have had to rearrange for Saturday..

Was that the Bzango? Loving mine, can't get over how quick it is or maybe it's just me,although i'm sure the weight and the 29" wheels have something to do with it.. looking at getting the Mrs a Trek Marlin 5 for xmas, looks a bargain at 300 notes.

Yeah it was the Bizango. Cracking value really. The 29Ē wheels do roll really well so you can get some good speed up. They used to be s but sluggish on the twisty stuff but theyíve sorted them out now and are supposed to be top notch.

I have a Bell Stoker and thatís the same. Endura do a helmet that looks a little lower profile but I think unfortunately theyíll all make you look a bit like a mushroom.

Maybe if youíre doing a lot of rad stuff have a look at road lids? They always seem a bit lower profile but then donít give the same coverage for of Road.

I got some new wheels a while ago for the mountain bike. Got round to putting one on last night. Was the first time Iíd set up tubeless myself and seemed to work ok. Noticed Iíd put the tyre on the wrong fecking way though!

Trouble is, I canít change the tyre around without losing the new sealant and that makes a proper mess too. I could do with a new front anyway so will live with it for now.

Went for the Fabric Scoop Radius Elite, doesn't look comfy but you barely know it's there while riding,no soreness whatsoever.

I'd say out of all the improvements i've made the saddle is a clear winner.

Yeah itís always the best thing to change. Doesnít matter how good your bike is if the seat gives you a sore arse.

Just ordered myself a Cotic Bfe frame to build up. The full suspension bike is a little too much for the flatlands of Northamptonshire.
