Coutinho came on as a sub last night, he seemed to get a warm welcome, what was the reaction like in the stadium? I was streaming from US TV and they didn't shut up, so couldn't hear the crowd reaction, but I couldn't hear any booing.

So, coutinho straight back into the team after heavily criticising the manager and disgracing our club by refusing to play at the start of the season.

But sakho couldn't be forgiven for being late a couple of times.

What an absolute total and utter shambles, this club is being run like a pantomime, conpletely embarrassing.

Mr Kevin Klopp Keegan, hold your head in shame.

One fan said to me today, but but but, we play incredible football. Yep, watching klopps version of baresi was certainly incredible last night, that's one word you can use for it, the Dejan baresi Lovren show.

A very long arduous and embarrassing season ahead!!

need to grow up . it works both ways. hes paid to play. he would certainly not like to sit on the bench esp ahead of world cup. hes stuck for atleast another season, let him work his socks off and help the team.
for now he needs the club n the club needs him. whatever it was, I am happy that lfc didnt bend over

He however did look uninterested when he came on, hopefully he gets better especially with Mane out for a few games.

Coutinho is good and Sakho is Bambi on ice. Doesn't take much working out really.

I was at the Sevilla game and the reception Coutinho got when coming on was a lot better than expected. However he did look well off the pace but it's clear to me we need his creativity in central midfield, Lallana as well when he's fit.

I expect Coutinho to be on the bench again for Burnley tomorrow then I'd start him in the League Cup game at Leicester.

I do believe he was initially injured in pre-season as he missed games before the Barca bids/speculation started, so he has missed allot of pre-season, so he will take time to get upto speed, when he was injured in Dec/Jan he didn't get going again until later in the season, so he appears to be one of them who takes time to get to his best form. I thought he got stuck in when he came on, but was well off the pace.

He was probably also worried on the reception he'd get, so you can't blame him crap*ing himself on that and being subdued, even though he created the situation. I thought the fans treated him well considering and were fair.

Good thing is he has to prove himself to get back in the team, he is not a given anymore as the fans are not happy with his behaviour.

I don't think we ever got the full story on Sakho, he must have done something pretty bad to be completely drummed out the squad like he was, especially when we have been desperate for defenders.

I dont doubt Klopp on Sakho's saga. if Sakho was that innocent he wouldnt be tight lipped n would have been in press 3-4 times already since he left . headlines of major rags n what not, that how stubborn Kloppo is and it was nothing more than Sakho showing up late once. I find it hard to believe.

i kinda feel sorry for Klopp (he may have his own shortcomings, who doesnt? ) . the brutal English press , the pennypinchers and us impatient fans wont let him survive n let him do what he wants. He might end up at Bayern soon . meanwhile Hodgson would be jobless by that time.so we are covered.

The Sakho saga was probably a heated exchange on the US pre-season tour. Klopp and Sakho going at it in front of other players and Klopp taking the stance that he won't ever play again for us.

With Coutinho it was FSG's decision to make sure he got reintegrated into the team. I'm sure Klopp given the choice would rather leave Coutinho on the sidelines but he's FSG's pride and joy next big asset and they sure as hell don't want anything jeopradising the price tag!

Sakho's behaviour following the drugs ban/no ban for taking dodgy substances was the problem, I'm sure the dodgy substances was the first nail in the coffin, whatever it was, it was clear it was over for him under Klopp, so best we got rid.

Coutinho is a top player whether we like the way he behaved or not, as long as he gives his all and is professional, I am happy for him to play for us. I am sure it's Klopps choice if Coutinho plays or not, I cannot see FSG instructing Klopp on team selection, or him accepting it.

The Simple fact is he's one of our best players, so if fit, is likely to play, looking at the dearth of creativity in our midfield, with Lallana out, we are better with him playing, I can see him playing midfield this season.

Coutinho came back with his tail between his legs...he had no other option! As far as I'm aware Sakho never put in a transfer request or played sick?

The biggest slap in the face was Coutinho for Klopp, after pledging his allegiance only a few months prior.

So now FSG are just trying to protect their asset in keeping Coutinho to protect his price? Wow they can't do anything right eh?

I'd suggest if they were interested in maximising the profit they get from him they'd have sold this summer as no offer that big will come again. How about maybe they want to not keep selling their best players as we all want them to. Crazy idea I know.

Or maybe there was no other replacement for him going into a CL season. And the price tags are only going to get bigger IF FIFA/UEFA don't intervene. Coutinho will still have 4 years left on his contract going into next season.

To sign a replacement they'd need to spend pretty much all they'd get anyway so any profit is meaningless. And I can't see any offer that big next summer. The only reason Bad ca could offer it is because they sold Neymar. We'd be lucky to get the £72m they first offered I'd say especially as no one else seemed interested.

PSG and Man City aren't having any problems and I'm sure the Spanish Government will see Barcelona alright just like they have done, along with Real Madrid for decades.

Coutinho was not sold because it was too late to get a replacement and probably to send a message that the club is in the stronger position if the contract says so. Price tags won't get much bigger unless Messi and Ronaldo move and the price we got from Barca was an overvaluation. But we all know your love with conspiracy theories

Last summer is a strange market. With all club can sense there is strong trend of going up of price for players, no one are willing to sell.

Everyone noticed that the price is going crazy but they also knew the money was there.

Even if we sold Countinho with 150M (which probably Barca was not willing to offer, they dont want Countinho. Instead, they just want Countinho for cheap). What's the point if we use most of the above fund to find a replacement which probably not as good as him but costs almost the same ? (Lemar, was, valued at 92M, who is actually unproven in EPL)

Therefore, it is a must to keep Countinho here. If Barca wants him, they will go back for him with at least the same amount of money next season. If they dont go back for him, then we are happy to keep and play him every week.

Coutinho is not a bad lad. He is just 25 and can still consider to be young and would make wrong decisions.

How is that a conspiracy theory, it's very logical. Should I remove the word probably? You must be hearing voices.
