Maybe my expectations are higher than everybody else's? but we still command the 6th most following the world over, that in itself should see us with more success on the pitch.

This battle of removing all hope has been well and truly won by FSG, If fans idea of success is off the pitch...

Seriously man.
Find yourself a corner and sulk, and leave us fans be, who support the captain.
What if it was Gerrard, would you made the same comments?

No disrespect to Stevie off course.

A chat over tea and sandwiches in the dressing room doesn't really cut-it for me I am afraid.

Would be nice to see our mighty Captain step up and take some penalties. That would be leadership.

Why would you want him taking penalties when there's loads better out there at taking them?

We have an exceptional penalty taker in Milner who has scored every one this season.

Not all club captains take penalties.

Isn't what the point? I don't think you have one here. Hendo isn't a penalty taker so is a shitte captain seems to be part of what you're saying which makes zero sense.

Did Sami take penalties? John Terry? Just because you're captain doesn't mean you should take penalties especially when we have Milner, Coutinho, Firmino(?), Sturridge that would all be much better.

I believe the point chesterville is making is that Henderson does not LEAD by example!
He has been given the responsibility to LEAD the team on the pitch...yes we are supposed to have set piece specialists and because of Milner's penalty taking history he has been given the no1 spot for it...however penalties are not for the faint of heart in hotbed situations...EXAMPLE Last Years League Cup Final won by Man City on penalties!
Our penalty takers in order that day:
Can
LEIVA
Coutinho
Lallana

Milner did not take one?
Henderson did not take one? but Can and even more mystifying LEIVA did!

As a Captain you make your best men take them even putting yourself forward...Henderson did not do this!

It's not the captains job to take penalties especially when he's not the best penalty taker. That would just be plain stupid. Part of leading is recognising what you are good at and the strengths of your team and using that team properly. Just taking penalties because your captain when there's better out there is a ridiculous notion.

It's also the managers job, not the captains, to decide who takes a penalty.

You listed our 4 takers and apart from Lucas, I'd have everyone of them on penalty duty ahead of Hendo. Milner may have been the 5th taker but the order will have been down to Klopp not Hendo. We also had Sturridge on the pitch at the end of the final who I'd put above Hendo on penalty duties. But as I said, that's Klopp's call, not Hendo's.

I'm certain a Captain should be involved in the talks about the penalty takers with the Manager...if not what the F*CK is he Captain for?
If Henderson can't put himself forward in front of LEIVA... even Can, then it shows he's no LEADER and doesn't have the bottle for it!
If I remember correctly Carragher was scathing about the penalty takers and Henderson for not putting himself forward!

No matter which way you try and dress it up...Henderson has not shown the Leadership qualities needed to be Captain of Liverpool FC!

Lallana's interview gave us an insight and last years League Cup Final Penalty shootout only underlines it!

try as you may wilkij...
