Why is Gerrard allowed to be working in the BT studio? we employ him as a coach and he is sat there commentating on the players he coaches, todays result/performance was good, so that's easy, what if he was there for a Swansea defeat, slagging the performance/players, how can he walk in Melwood on Monday and work with them after slating them????
We should have said if your a coach, that's what you do, quit the media stuff.

totally agree. another sign of club mismanagement.

Its all about Stevie Me Me Me.
He should have been told work with us and no TV or TV work but no coaching job.
He was critical of Mignolet on BT sports when he first started the coaching job.
Even when he was our captain he slagged off Balotelli on live TV.
Its not even like he is a decent pundit, along with Philip Neville, Jermaine Jenas, they send me asleep.

He works with te under 20s. He won't see any of the first team. But he shouldn't be on TV talking about the players.

He's been doing the BT stint for awhile now...I gather he is under contract to them and FSG have accepted it. He'll probably stop when his contract with BT ends. Besides FSG needed another decoy after everybody got onto their tedious contract extension negotiations at transfer time! They would've accepted Mr Bean as a decoy, if it meant they could distract the fans from actually putting their hands in their pockets!

Hey hey steady now!
We got ourselves a brand new bus during the window!
That's something to brag about, isn't it. By far our best signing this new year! 25" tyres and all that!

It's just not acceptable for the club to allow it. If he is contracted to do commentary then he can't coach. Simple as that. You have to question where is Stevie's heart. Does he seriously want to make a career in coaching or is it just an excuse to hang around Anfield and show off?

Well the club is known for its strange focus, where we without any interference seem to self implode rather than act in our own best interests.
Suarez biting and the Evra incident, Sakho misbehaviour, Matip's African Cup of Nations c'ck up, numerous missed transfers and so on.
Like you say Chester: If Gerrard is on a contract with BT until the end of the season, then he simply can't start coaching until the end of the season. And if he wants to start coaching earlier he just needs to end the BT contract. His choice not someone elses.
Now once again the club looks unprofessional in its behaviour. Does that strengthen us in any way, shape or form? No of course not!
