Looks like Kante is going to leave Leicester as he has reportedly rejected their new contract offer, I think he would be a great buy for the reported £20 million on his release clause, would be a perfect replacement for Lucas & Allen as I expect them to leave, we need someone to dominate the central midfield and offer protection to the back 4, his all action closing down would really suit Klopps style of play, for the price I think he'd be a great buy, if we moved quick we might be able to nip in to seal a deal before other clubs.

He's been very good for Leicester this season but will he be a one season wonder? I'm always wary of these types of players, he is 25 years of age and I don't think many of us knew who he was before he joined Leicester. He's had one quite brilliant season but now the pressure is on and he's expected to perform every week will he be able to sustain such good form?

We've bought players like Lallana and Lovren for big money based on one season of form and in my view they haven't been worth the investment, hence why I'm sceptical of Kante.

Can't be any worse than Allen lallana Mario borini Carroll Ben type signings ...

Kante might start in France midfield at the euros

I struggle to see from the player's point of view why he would want to join us. He's with Leicester in the Champions League, settled, just won the Prem. Up to Klopp to convince him to buy into the project.

And of course we probably don't have any interest in him whatsoever.

Lovren wasn't a one season wonder and its harsh on Lallana to say he had just one standout season as Southampton. For £20m each or whatever, they aren't the best value but then again they were players signed to play for us over many seasons so you could say they were good buys.

Apparently he's holding out for a move to Arsenal?
Certainly good enough to be considered but whether Klopp is interested is another matter.

Lovren played one season in the Premiership and we bought him based on that, how is that anything other than a one season wonder? Lallana was 26 when we bought him off the back of his first real good and consistent season at the top level, again he was bought based on one season. They also haven't proven to be worth the outlay, unless we're aiming for mid-table!

I think it is more difficult for 'creative' players like Lallana etc to settle into a new club, usually they are the 'star' player at a smaller club so the team is setup to exploit their skills, so when they move to a bigger club with more stars and they are part of the team and it's not focused on them, so they struggle more. Abit like if Vardy moved from Leicester he might struggle as Leicester are setup to give him the long ball fast over the top he exploits, at LFC we would play it around more before passing it to him, so the fast pass is lost and he might struggle more getting chances.

Kante is more of a destructive player, so I think he would settle into any bug club easier, he would have to work on his passing and creative side, but he wins the ball very well and plays it simple, abit like Mascherano, so I think he would do well.

I never said we were linked to him, from what I've seen Arsenal are heavily linked, but I think we could offer him guaranteed football and be part of a big Klopp project, so may tempt him, doubt we'd get him, but worth a go at £20 million I think, whoever gets him will have a better midfield for it.
